Cheesey Spinach and Bacon Dip
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained
lb. (16 oz.) VELVEETA Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed
1 can (10 oz.) ROTEL Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, undrained
8 slices Bacon, cooked, crumbled
MICROWAVE all ingredients in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 5 min. or until VELVEETA is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after 3 min. Or heat ingredients in a saucepan until cheese is melted and mixture is hot.
SERVE with tortilla chips and cut-up fresh vegetables. Makes 4 cups or 32 servings, 2 Tbsp. each
Tips
- For a reduced fat recipe prepare using VELVEETA 2% Milk Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product and PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.
- For fewer guests, cut ingredients in half; combine in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 3 to 4 min. or until VELVEETA is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after 2 min. Serve as directed. Makes 2 cups or 16 servings, 2 Tbsp. each.
- To keep food safe hot dips should be discarded after sitting at room temperature for 2 hours or longer.
Chicken Italiano Appetizers
18 Wonton wrappers
1/2 cup Red pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup Green onion, finely chopped
2 tsp. Olive oil
2 cups Cooked chicken, finely chopped
1/3 cup Mayonnaise
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. Watkins Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp. Watkins Onion Powder
1/2 tsp. Watkins Basil
1/2 tsp. Watkins Oregano
Salt & pepper to taste
Watkins non-stick cooking spray
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray muffin pan cups with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Press wonton wrappers into cups.
3. In small skillet, cook red pepper and green onion in olive oil until soft, about 5 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, combine chicken, mayonnaise, cheese and seasonings.
5. Stir in cooked vegetables.
6. Spoon 3 tbsp. filling into wonton cup.
7. Bake 7-8 minutes.
8. Serve hot or at room temperature. Makes enough for 18 servings.
Biscuit Canapes and Little Sandwiches
You can add leftover cheese bits to your favorite biscuit recipe. Then, cut them with cookie cutters or use shaped bakeware to bake cheesy canapés. Top them with a flavored cream cheese made with Watkins Snack and Dip Seasonings or make little sandwiches filled with ham and cheese, smoked salmon, egg salad, chicken salad.
