A Good Yarn – A Review

As if you ladies didn’t see this coming… I’m knee deep in this series called the Blossom Street Books by Debbie Macomber. Last week, I reviewed the first book in the series and it didn’t take me long to get through the second one.

The second book is really cute, just like the first. Of course, I wanted to know more about what was happening with the ladies from the first book, but the second one focused on a whole new class and whole new students. This time around, you’re hanging out with Bethanne, Courtney, and Elise. Three women who seem to have nothing in common except the fact that they are all facing monumental changes in their lives. They all sign up for Lydia’s latest knitting class (how to make socks) in the hopes of meeting new people, learning something new, and taking their minds off of what is troubling each othem.

You still occasionally see Jacqueline, Alix, and Carol, but it’s only momentarily. And what is a good girl book without a little romance issues? Brad and Lydia hit a rough spot. I won’t spoil it. But I will say it’s a good read. Without a doubt, the first book was better – is any sequel REALLY as good as the original? But the second book has the same style and flair.

And yes, I’m currently reading the third book and should be done in time for next week’s review. So stay tuned everyone!
