It’s October 1st – the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and here at Moms In A Blog, we wanted to do something to mark this month. Most of us have been touched by breast cancer in some way. I have been personally touched by breast cancer and cancer in generally in both my family and my husbands, so it is something that means a lot to me.
SO what can you do to help raise awareness this month?
1. Grab the I’m A Pink Mom Button for your blog and help spread the word!
2. Blog about how your life has been touched by cancer and/or breast cancer. Make sure you leave a link in the comments so we can stop by and read your story.
3. Encourage your loved ones to have a mammogram done or do a self exam (depending on age/risk). And, make sure you do one yourself as well!

I recently had an exam. The GYN said I have a very enlarged uterus.
He is gonna do a baseline ultra sound.
He thinks it’s Uterine Fibroids, which are not usually cancerous.

My grandmother had her breasts removed due to breast cancer and I will never forget seeing her beofre she would put on her undergarments. I, too, have had a scare recently. Now, every 6 months I go for an exam and I get so nervous.
