This is a touchy subject for me and one of the reasons why I homeschool my children. I feel that they should have no right over that. A person's hair color is not going to deter kids from learning. And under the circumstances I say shame on the school.

I feel the school boards have way too much say over OUR children. My daughter when she was in public school was a honor roll student. She started having headaches on a regular basis, bad enough to make her cry. I was told by the school that for every 3 days she was absent I would need to take her to the doctors for an excused note. Yeah I will be shelling out $30 every other week to have a doctor tell me she has headaches. (It ended up being because she needed glasses) But the point is they have too much control in my opinion. Sorry for the rant :-)
