Wall-E, A Review

This Friday, we decided to have a family movie night and took the kids out to the theatre. We decided to see Wall-E. I think what I enjoyed most about this movie was that is was a surprise. I hadn’t seen or heard much about it before, so I didn’t know much of the story line at all before the movie started. That doesn’t happen often, and it makes the movie a unique experience.
As for the movie itself, I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t a movie that I walked away saying “OH WOW, I LOVED IT” but the movie had laughter and tears, some super cute moments and some super great messages about love, life and taking care of what we have before it’s to late. We all enjoyed it and I would highly recommended it as a family night out movie.
— PLOT SPOILER BELOW —
The movie revolves around a lonely garbage collecting robot (wall-e) who is the only thing left onĀ an Earth that has been overcome by garbage. He meets a new robot who comes looking for signs of new life – and falls in love. Together, the two of them end up on a mission to get the humans back to Earth and learn a little about love in the meantime.

Boy, your take on it was pretty different from mine! Maybe my kids were right and my opinion WAS out in left field. I’ve got 2 posts here: http://apronstringsandangst.com/2008/07/page/3/ … BTW, I found your blog through Twitter — tweet tweet!
